Complete renovation of an artist's studio with duplex charm

Nestled in a private alley in the heart of Paris's 16th arrondissement, a building adorned with art deco aesthetics was home to a singular artist's studio. This duplex, with a surface area of 75 square meters, presented itself with generous space and undeniable potential, ready to be shaped by skilled hands.

The apartment was already adorned with majestic marble, whose brilliance has been preserved and restored by delicate crystallization. These relics of past grandeur, enhanced by meticulous care, leave a nostalgic imprint and add to the unique aura of this artistic duplex.

The vocation of the project entrusted to our agency Juliette Laurens lay in the renovation and optimization of this space. The aim was not simply to restore its former beauty, but to breathe new life into it. This involved a meticulous selection of noble materials to underline its grandeur, while respecting and restoring what already existed.

Juliette Laurens' team of architects, decorators and space designers were faced with the delicate challenge of striking a balance between the old and the new, between preserving the artistic heritage and infusing it with new energy and style.

Through this project, we sought to reveal and celebrate the latent potential of this studio, transforming it into a living space that resonates with its history, while welcoming the future with refined grace and timeless elegance.
